Authentic Aging is a social enterprise that offers the workshop as a public service to church groups and non-profits and for a small fee to companies and government agencies. Our goal is to help others prepare for the transition into a post career life in an honest, supportive and inclusive workshop. The Workshop runs two hours which includes time for Q & A.
From time to time we will be speaking at events that are open to the public and will post these so that anyone interested can register and attend.
Authentic Aging is a two hour workshop that prepares mid-life adults for the transition to retirement as it relates to identity, passion and purpose. Our mission is to take back the curtain on the realities that can come with this transition. Most of the conversation around retirement preparation is in the quantitative aspects of retirement such as financial planning, Social Security and Medicare. Valuable and necessary to be sure but it’s the qualitative aspects of life that bring us joy, purpose and meaning.
Authentic Aging seeks to have an honest conversation about the myths and realities that surround retirement and to offer up a list of practical and actionable tools to help one begin the process of building wonderful second chapter in life.
